About The Event
A body positive event to benefit Girls Helping Girls. Period.
An easy to understand introduction to puberty, periods and all the stuff too awkward to talk about with your parents.
If your tween or teen daughter has questions about what is happening - or what is about to start happening to her body, but is having a hard time talking with you about this, she is welcome to join our small group conversation with local pediatrican Dr. Rebecca Farnham.
Dr Rebecca will make a brief video presentation and will answer questions about menstruation, hair growth, hygiene and hormones.
There will be an explanation and demonstration of some feminine hygiene products to help alleviate the mystery and fear!
This event is also a supplies drive to support Girls Helping Girls. Period. A local non-profit that supplies feminine hygiene products, with dignity, to women and girls in need. We ask that each particiapant please bring a box of Pads or Tampons in exchange for attending this discussion.
